Nick Downing

Director of Operations and Transformation

Nick is our Director of Operations and Transformation here at NPH Group and works within the management team. He has over 15 years’ experience within healthcare, initially as a clinician before moving into leadership roles within Physiotherapy and Mental Health Services. Before joining NPH Group, Nick previously worked in the independent sector delivering NHS services as NHS Head of Transformation and held a voluntary role as Chair of the Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Network.

As Director of Operations and Transformation, his primary purpose is leading the business efficiency innovation and continuous improvement and supporting the clinical, admin and commercial teams. He has an ability to connect people to tasks to engage and motivate others and is passionate about developing strong partnerships with likeminded businesses to benefit all. Nick loves to problem solve and understands the importance of diversity of opinions and alignment across teams to reach a solution that works and that the team can get behind. Nick sits on the executive committee influencing strategy, governance and commercial decision making.

“In my free time I enjoy spending time with my 3 kids, sharing a love of the great outdoors, teaching kindness and compassion, and the importance of protecting our planet. My escape is running, biking, or swimming in the Yorkshire Dales, the local lake or river and keeping fit for competitive endurance sports. I am a parent governor for the local school and cub group where my children attend, and I champion community events helping at junior parkrun as an Event Director.
