Our Story
NPH Group was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to offer more personalised care than traditional medical practices. Our founders, a group of dedicated doctors, saw a real need in the community for quality, responsive, and accessible employment medicals tailored to local specialist industries. They began offering these services outside their regular GP hours, bringing their expertise in areas like deep-sea diving, lead exposure, asbestos, ionising radiation, and civil aviation to the forefront.
As word spread and demand grew, it felt natural to expand our services to include health surveillance. We wanted to help local businesses manage workplace fitness and exposure risks more effectively. In 2013, Newcastle Premier Health Limited was officially formed.
After a few years of laying the groundwork, Mark Philpott joined our leadership team with a vision to scale the business nationally. His goal was to reinvest our ideas and any financial success into broadening our health services, supporting business employees across the UK.
We’ve grown steadily by focusing on developing products, services, and systems that truly meet our clients’ needs. Our reputation has been our biggest asset, and the pandemic presented an opportunity to pivot and expand. We extended our expertise to support two international airports, numerous companies, and even Virgin Voyages, a new cruise liner, with COVID testing and support services. This period of intense activity allowed us to reinvest in our business, strengthening the NPH Group brand.
Today, we’re proud to be one of the most trusted providers of Occupational Health and Wellbeing services. Our clients include notable companies like Newcastle International Airport, BP, NEXUS, Unipres, Marelli, Home Group, MGL, and many more who rely on us to help them thrive.
